Last Summer I was fortunate enough to be able to enroll in one of recording connection’s mentor/apprentice programs near my home in Chicago. It was a very intensive program where I was shown everything connected with recording engineering. My personal mentor went through just about everything I would need to know in order to make it as a recording engineer. Working in a genuine recording studio was a hell of a lot better than being in a stuffy classroom. I worked alongside real working professionals that were more than happy to guide me. I learned more in 6 moths than I would have learned in 2 years at a community college. Plus the gear I worked on was up to date and working. Cant say better than that.
