New London, Connecticut
I had been enrolled at another music school, here in New London: Connecticut but I felt that I was not learning what I wanted to learn. There was far too much classroom activity and little practical learning. I know that this business is a learn as you do business and that the best way to acquire knowledge is by actually doing the work, first hand. So I dropped out of that course and signed up with www.recordingconnection.com. That was 5 months ago and I have never looked back. My one on one mentor Suzanne has gone through everything I need to know in order to work successfully at a major recording studio. She has taught me to tame the mixing desk and prepping the instruments. There is so much to take in, but it never gets overly complicated because she explains everything to me in simple layman’s terms. Next week I’m working at a large busy recording studio and will be working at times with little supervision. Just to make sure that I feel comfortable working under my own initiative. I can’t wait. Thank you Suzanne and www.recordingconnection.com.
