Five years ago my son Eric was running around with gangs and causing all sorts of problems. He was an 18 year old with a huge chip on his shoulder and a lot to prove. It came to a head when he was arrested helping to steal a neighbor’s car and joyriding it around town. The judge gave him a choice, sort yourself out or go to jail and seeing as he always had a love of music, my wife and I enrolled him on a recording connection. We had nothing to lose. Almost immediately he dropped his good for nothing friends and spent all day at the studio his mentor had assigned him to. He learned all sides of the recording industry, in particular making hip hop and rap music. His whole attitude did a 180 degree turn and he became the son we always knew he could be.
