I have been working in the recording industry for over 25 years now and I have yet to see a better way for people to break into this business than through recording connection. They teach the student everything from the ground up. They test and monitor the student to ensure that they have taken on board all the information and tricks of the trade that the mentor passes to him or her. University courses are all well and good but you simply do not learn all the little tricks that you would if you were doing proper hands on training with a working professional.
