I was fortunate enough to complete a mentor/apprentice program with recording connection 6 years ago. That has to be the best decision I ever made and I have never looked back. I was instructed in all aspects of music recording by a real working professional and not some washed up has been working as a lecturer. He taught me everything I would need to make myself a useful member of a recording studio team. He also showed me those little things that they do not show in a college course such as how to sell oneself to a prospective employer. This certainly worked as for the last 5 and half years I have been working full time at a really great studio. A studio that is known to be extremely picky when it comes to hiring staff.
