I have just begun my intensive program with Recording Connection and so far it has exceeded all expectations. It is very intensive and there is a lot of information to take in, but it is fun and will be worth it in the long run. Fortunately the recording industry is one of the few professions where a formal education is not a pre-requisite. As long as you have knowledge of the job a degree is not necessary. Fortunately, my mentor will teach me just about everything there is to know about studio work. I am also hoping that my mentor will be able to assist me in finding a decent job after I complete my training. I have a long way to go but I look forward to the challenge.
